About a month ago, a mischievous four-year-old mutt named Frank suddenly vanished from their home in Colchester, Essex. Because of that, his devoted owner named Michelle Ballard, went into panic mode. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan spotted Frank chilling at the bus that was bound to the seaside and helped him reunite with his owner.
As it turns out, Frank strolled down a road near their home. Then, he spotted a bus and hopped into it without being noticed by the driver. After an 18-mile trip, Frank found himself in the seaside town of Clacton.
Meanwhile, Michelle was already freaking out about her lost pooch. In the hopes of finding her beloved pet, Michelle immediately arranged a search party with the help of her friends, schoolchildren, and fellow dog walkers. Unknown to the worried fur mom, Frank was having so much fun on his solo day trip. It could have been worse. Fortunately, one of his fellow passengers noticed the Adventurous Dachshund. The man, named Michael, talked to the driver and agreed to take the pup to his home in Clacton.
Later that evening, Michael’s family came across a Facebook post, appealing for Frank’s whereabouts. So, they arranged the reunion. Michelle was relieved to hear about the good news. She thought that if a bus driver noticed Frank, the driver would not have let him on. However, she believed that maybe Frank boarded while someone was paying.
Dachshund Finds Friend
Frank was so lucky to meet a kind man who offered to take him home. The pup stayed with his new friend, Michael, overnight. Michael was planning to take Frank to the vet in the morning before his family saw the Facebook post.
Michelle said that Jonathan, her partner, picked Frank up at around 7 pm. Then, finally, he got reunited not only with Michelle but also with Charlie, his two-year-old sausage dog pal, and Freddie, his two-year-old human brother.
According to Michelle, what Frank did that day was completely out of his character. That was the very first time that he had done anything like it. Michelle felt so lucky that, unlike many horror stories that she heard about, a kind man found her dog and helped bring him home.
