Dogs and cats
We’ve all heard about dogs and cats not getting along with each other. Living together with different species seems an impossibility. Let’s hear about the story of a kindhearted homeless dog who marches to a different drummer when it comes to love and care.
On a chilly November night in the streets of Ontario, Canada, a passerby saw this two-year-old female dog. She was covered white with snow. Little did he know that Serenity, as the shelter later named her, was bravely snuggling a litter of five kittens. As the person drew close to her, the teenie weenie black felines came into view.
An odd alliance it may seem, but this remarkable sight was just too touching and beautiful to behold. It’s a picture of solid love and togetherness amidst frigid conditions. It reminds us that diversity should even push us to help each other when in crisis.
If these cute huddled creatures had been left in the cold, they could not have survived the following day. Luckily, with the help of this responsible citizen, the Pet and Wildlife Rescue (P.A.W.) shelter was notified about the incident. They were swiftly picked up and transported to the place.
Serenity and her kitties are all up for adoption. Many people from across the country have volunteered to get them as a package. The kitty cats are still undergoing treatment while the dog-hero, is near recovery for being spayed.
Serenity is an active toddler. P.A.W. posted that she is quick to get nervous and that the type of environment suited for her is one that has no human babies or other dogs. She also best adapts with other cats.
Here’s wishing our loving pooch and the kitties a lovely home, and possibly all together forever. May their future carers also love them unconditionally.
